As spring turns so shall these images. With winter behind us I’ve selected a new group of images to share with you. These were shot in warmer weather than the last group, though you will find some common themes. The final collection of images from Ottawa appear here: a selection of photos that are marked by light that has bounced in mysterious ways, as well as a set honoring the brave men that wash the windows that cast these light reflections into the shadows of the office towers.
The third set shows an example of what I have beep to since I left Ottawa in April just over one year ago. I spent some time in Europe traveling through 6 countries on the rails and visiting 8 cities. I wanted to explore the European counterparts to Ottawa’s downtown and visited friends and family along the way. Having the luxury of traveling alone I was free to wander without any real direction most days and shot a substantial amount of photos with the hopes of having enough to display somewhere to share. While selecting those images I saw certain aspects of each city stand out. As part of an exercise in visiting so many new cities for the first time I decided to create a book for each city as a means to remind me what held my interest the last time I was there. Les Gens de Genève is an example of one of those books.
Enjoy,
Julien
